Aircraft Lever
One part of a complete set of control components for a major aircraft company. AG Prototypes produced a run of 10 PU rubber mouldings in 90A Shore Hardness, for mock-up tests.
Elastomers
Flexible rubber parts can be produced from rigid prototypes. Soft-feel surfaces, gaskets, seals, rubber keypads, etc. can be produced in PU rubber ranging from 25A to 90A Shore Hardnesses to specific colours.
d3o Lab
AG Prototypes worked closely with d3o Lab to produce silicone mould tools and PU patterns to create the required shapes for their production parts. d3o (dee-three-oh) is a specially engineered material made with intelligent molecules. They flow with you as you move but on shock lock together to absorb the impact energy. Because of the nature of the material d3o has numerous possible applications. d3o lab’s first innovation with its material is in human body protection.
Tended Ltd
We were asked by Tended Ltd to assist with the development and prototyping of their Safety Monitor and Fitness Tracker. The main housing, lens and straps were all produced using our 3D Printing, Silicone Tooling and Vacuum Casting services. We were able to produce a number of prototypes in a variety of materials and colours prior to production. The lenses were cast in a clear UV stable PU resin tinted to match an existing product, the housings were cast in an ABS-like PU resin and the straps were cast in a 70A Shore elastomer PU, pre-pigmented to match various Pantone colours. The strap end inserts were cast in a rigid PU and overmoulded into the rubber straps.
Vulcan Watch Straps Ltd
AG Prototypes also helped Vulcan Watch Straps Ltd with the development of their designs by producing numerous straps in a variety of colours and Shore A hardnesses.
